The 2012 Ontario Building Code will require that all new houses reach EnerGuide 80 levels of energy efficiency. Where the old code had one way to comply with energy efficiency requirements, the new Code has 30 compliance packages.
Each of the 30 compliance package includes different insulation, space and water heating strategies that can satisfy the Code.
EnerQuality is now offering a new workshop in which participants will learn:
• The pros and cons of each strategy;
• The individual requirements within each strategy;
• How much each compliance package costs; and,
• How the competition might build in 2012;
This workshop was created and will be taught by Michael Lio, one of Canada's leading code experts!
There is no doubt this workshop will exceed your expectations. To this end, we would very much like those of you within reasonable driving distance to North York to promote this very important workshop to your members. The fee for HBA members to register is $200 + HST. The ad for this workshop that will be appearing in the upcoming issue of Ontario Builder Magazine is attached.
At this time, we do not have anything scheduled outside of the GTA; we would be happy to book one in your area provided we recruit a minimum of 25-30 people per workshop (enough to ensure we cover the cost of the trainer, travel and workshop materials).

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or Rujuta. Rujuta is our new training coordinator!
Sincerely,
Julia
